Compliance
Two countries, two frameworks, one chain.
A Tageline transfer starts under Canadian regulation and ends under Cameroonian regulation. Most sites describe one half. Here are both.

One chain, two halves
Your money changes jurisdiction on the way. Here is what applies on each side.
Canada
The departure
What we do before every payout.
- Identity verification of every sender before the first transfer.
- Sanctions and politically exposed person screening, with no minimum threshold.
- Manual review of 100% of transfers during the pilot phase.
- Records kept for five years, as the regulation requires.
- Tamper-evident audit log of every compliance action.
Cameroon
The arrival
CEMAC zone. A framework distinct from the Canadian one, over half the journey.
- Currency
- The CFA franc (XAF), issued by the BEAC and pegged to the euro.
- Exchange control
- CEMAC exchange regulation, administered by the BEAC.
- Supervision
- Credit, payment and microfinance institutions supervised by the COBAC.
- Financial intelligence
- ANIF, Cameroon's financial intelligence unit.
- Payout
- Mobile Money through MTN MoMo and Orange Money, run by locally licensed entities.
The XAF follows the euro and moves continuously. That is why every rate shown here carries its timestamp, and why we never use the word guaranteed.
Your data
No identity document leaves Canada: they are uploaded to our secure page, never into the conversation. Two processors are disclosed because they are unavoidable: Meta, which runs WhatsApp, and Resend, which delivers our email from the United States.
